When I first started documenting the life of our itty bitty girl 21 months ago, I would have never thought that anyone outside of our close family and friends would visit Gracen’s little corner of the internet.  And they didn’t. At least not for the first year and a bit.  At the time, I was using iWeb and my blog was unsearchable, which kept it under the radar for a long time.  But that all changed 5 months ago when we made the switch over to WordPress {a switch that is still in progress as posts pre-December 2011 are yet to have accompanying photos}.  Slowly, this little blog of mine started gaining readers.

I must admit, in the beginning it felt very strange.  I remember saying to Brad, “I just don’t get why a stranger would want to read my blog.  All I do is post photos of Gracen and talk about our lives.”  His response was, “Aren’t most of your favourite mommy blogs just about people’s lives?”  Touché.

That being said, Mama.Papa.Bubba. reached 100+ followers over the long weekend.  Now I know that’s not very many in the blog world.  In fact, it’s nothing really.  Most of the mommy blogs I loyally follow have hundreds upon hundreds of followers, if not thousands.  But when it comes down to it, I’m a Kindergarten teacher at heart and 100 is an extremely big thing in Kindergarten (is there anything more exciting than 100 day?! I think not.)

So in honour of 100+ followers, I figured we’d celebrate with a little giveaway from my very own Etsy shop, Littlest Lulu.  The winner will receive a set of personalized baby blocks, handcrafted in a theme and/or colours of their choice {similar to the ones below}.

  1. Liked the page, some very cute stuff your very talented. I got hooked on your blog after I got that healthy cracker recipie off my sis angela morrison (buck). I get lots of ideas and inspiration from your blog, am going to give those energy bites a go this week as trying to find healthy snack ideas for my 2 wee girls :)

    1. Thanks Vanessa! So nice to “meet” Angela’s sister! :) You’ll have to let me know what you girls think of the energy bites… Gracen just polished off our last one tonight, so we’ll need to get on making another batch very soon. She LOVES them! Thanks for following!

  2. I only just stumbled across your blog the other day and love reading what miss G eats. My husband and I are very fussy about what our toddler eats and is good to see other parents doing the same as until they go to school we can control what goes in their little bodies and help set them up for a healthy life. (oh I liked your FB page as well)

    1. I figure the same thing – may as well pack her full of as many nutritious foods before it becomes more difficult. If you have any meal or snack ideas you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to hear about them! Thanks so much for following. :)

    2. Congratulations, perfect is so overrated! You’re our giveaway winner!!! Just let me know what you want your set of blocks to say, the colours you’d like the blocks to be, and and patterns / themes you’d like incorporated, and I’ll get started on them! If you don’t mind, send me your address too! Congratulations!!!

  3. I liked your store on Etsy. I actually shop on Etsy all the time and didn’t know about your shop and all of its adorable products, so it was a happy discovery for me! :)

      1. I agree, and I use it to find things I haven’t seen elsewhere. When I graduated from library school, I got the cutest necklace through etsy with an owl and a book – where else would you find something like that?

    1. Oh my goodness! My apologies!!! I hadn’t even though about that fact that some people don’t use Facebook. That’s bad… Gives you a little insight as to how much I use it. *ashamed* Instead, visit the shop and come back and say you did so! Easy peasy. And if you have an Etsy account, favourite the shop and come back and leave a separate comment for another entry. :)

      1. I visited! I think that my favourite may be the feather headband that is made of two colours and one button. So adorable. Of course, I love the blocks. I’d probably go with “FAMILY” since I have two kidlets, and our family of four has three different last names! :O
Thanks for adding something for me. I really appreciate that!
