Healthy Fruit and Honey Yogurt Popsicles

Fruit Honey Yogurt Popsicles | Mama Papa Bubba

Popsicle season is in full swing here in the desert, so Miss G and I stocked up our freezer today with a big batch of tasty new treats – fruit and honey yogurt pops!

We like to keep our popsicles pretty simple and always make them with plain, unsweetened yogurt, but today we decided to add some extra yumminess in the form of freshly squeezed orange juice and a little honey.

Then my very talented little sous chef mixed everything up well.

While she did that, I worked on prepping some fruit.  Any type of fruit would work, but Miss G chose to go with fresh golden kiwi and mango and raspberries and blueberries from the freezer.

When the fruit was chopped in itty bitty pieces and the yogurt was smooth, the fun began!  First, Gracen started by putting a little bit of fruit into each popsicle holder…

Then came a layer of yogurt…

Until all of the moulds were filled to the top!

We froze them overnight and found these beautiful, swirly pops waiting for us this morning.

And you know what the best part about popsicles made out of fruit and yogurt and a bit of honey is?

You can eat them for breakfast!  And that we did.

Healthy Fruit & Honey Yogurt Popsicles (our batch made 14 popsicles)
  • 1 1/2 cups of plain full fat yogurt
  • juice of one large {room temperature, pre-rolled} orange (ours gave us about 1/2 a cup)
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (or more, depending on desired sweetness)
  • 2 cups of fruit, diced finely
Prepare yogurt mixture by stirring well.  Layer chopped fruit and yogurt mixture in popsicle moulds.  Freeze overnight.
Enjoy!
