Upcycled Light Bulb Santa Ornament

Upcycled Light Bulb Santa Ornament | Mama Papa Bubba

Gracen and I have been busy crafting up all sorts of fun homemade ornaments for our tree this week, and this cute little Santa is the latest addition to the fleet.  I’ve made these with several classes of students during my time teaching, and while they’re a perfect project for older kids, Miss G and I had a great time working on one together.

The best part is that if you’re like me and can never quite decide what to do with burned out lightbulbs (throw away? recycle? something else?), you won’t have to worry about it anymore!  Straight to a craft supply box they go. ☺

Miss G absolutely adores our new light bulb Santa.  In fact, as she searched for the perfect place for him on our tree, her exact words were, ‘I just think he is soooooo cute and coo!’  I agree, sweet girl, I agree.

    1. Hmmm… Not that I know of, Michelle! But if you find something, please let me know. :)

Miss G has used glass dishes and cups since she was a wee thing and many of her craft supplies are stored in glass jars, so having her handle a glass light bulb is not something I was worried about. Of course, supervision is key, and like I said above, this was a project that we worked on *together*. That being said, you know your child best and you have to do what *you* feel comfortable with!
