Gracen is FOUR: A Birthday Interview

Yesterday, our baby turned four.  {FOUR – that’s truly a little hard to believe.}  So, in keeping up with our tradition, we sat down together and did our little birthday interview.  Now truth be told, this was our third attempt at the video, so it’s perhaps a little less spontaneous than normal, but I’ll take it.  {Note to self for next time: remove at least some of the 10 000+ photos on your phone before attempting to take a 5 minute long video.}

My favourite part?  The last minute addition of the fact that she loves to buy things for people.  That part was completely spontaneous.  And it couldn’t be more true.  This little lady of ours loves nothing more than buying or making things to give to others, which makes my mama heart pretty proud.

As usual, I turned the interview into a little keepsake to print out and have.  This year I think I’ll get a big copy made for her bedroom wall, just for fun.

  1. Happy Birthday Gracen! I love your videos…they are so sweet. My daughter, Ella Grace is turning 3 next week and I plan to start doing these little videos as well. Jen, I just love your blog. I have made so many things from it. We make your play dough recipes all of the time and your colored rice bins, and of course the moon dough. As a matter of fact, we’ll have all 3 of these in big huge bins outside for all the kids to play with at her bday party. Thanks for an amazing, sweet, informative, playful blog!

  2. What a lovely idea to commemorate every birthday! I think I’m going to have to borrow this idea for my boys :) Thanks for the lovely posts and blog.

  3. Happy Birthday from Minnesota! I have been following your blog for a long time. She is getting so big. I love all the craft projects and cooking you do together. It reminds me of when my kids were little and we had Arts & Crafts Saturday’s. I made a version of your activity binder with the school pouches for my great niece and she loved it. My son spent a few years in Canada in Kelowna playing hockey and I loved your pictures from your trip. Enjoy every minute with your daughter they grow up so fast.

  4. What a fantastic idea!!! But you’re full of great ideas. I’ve just come across this in my email InBox. My little girl just turned 3 recently so I’ll have to do one. What a difference there is each year!!! She’s a real cutie that’s for certain. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.
