Gracen is currently a little chew monster. She begs, pants, and reaches for things to put in her little mouth, including teething rings…

All day today, we noticed that Gracen had an incredible urge to chew and suck on things – to the point of begging and panting for objects to shove in her mouth. For the first four and a half months of her life, Gracen was not the least bit interested in having a pacifier, but as we were getting her ready for bed and she was desperately sucking on her towel, we decided to try offering her one once again. This is what happened…

Life just doesn’t get much better than this… Chubby, naked, and wrapped in a hoodie towel while laying on a mountain of pillows…. Ahhhhh.

‘Mama. I am patiently waiting in my car seat. Now could we just go already? Put your darn shoes on and let’s get going, lady!’

Our happy little girl, just after waking up from a nap. We call her Houdini because no matter how tightly we swaddle her up, she breaks free either during her nap or in the process of waking up. :)

‘Do I ever have a story for you!’

Today Gracen’s little friend, Turner, brought her a special pink package. Inside, we found the ever classic French toy, Sophie the Giraffe. Gracen is absolutely in love with Sophie! She hasn’t put her down all day.

I promise that we did not put our darling little girl down for a nap like this… Yet this is exactly as we found her. Uh oh. This was a first for us. I can only imagine what kinds of crazy positions we’ll be finding her in in the days ahead…

Speaking of friends, Gracen’s very sweet little playmate, Turner, dropped this beautiful package off at our apartment today.

After four hot and dusty years, we are leaving the desert and heading back home to Canada to enjoy clean air, changing seasons, picnics, parks, and family. Yay for that. :)
