After spending yesterday inside, we decided to get out and get some fresh air today. Sunny and 19 degrees – perfect for a Boxing Day walk along the sea!

It wasn’t Paris, and without our luggage, it didn’t involve some of the little Christmas traditions we’d hoped it would, but Gracen’s first Christmas was perfect with just the three of us…

Thrilled to be waking up to her first Christmas Eve ever.

Although it was an hour and a half late, our plane to Kuwait arrived and we made it home safely around 3 a.m. We all had a good night’s sleep and stayed in bed until 10:20 a.m. Grae’s not sure how she feels about being back home…

Gracen’s slept in her own basinet/crib since her first night home from the hospital, so having her cozied up in between Mama and Papa in the hotel bed was something new for all of us.

After our 4:25 p.m. flight was cancelled, we decided to call it a day and head to a new hotel for the night. Grae was not super happy about having to be bundled up and put in her wrap at this point…

Although we made it to Germany, our original connecting flight to Paris was cancelled, and then so was our flight that we had stood in line for hours to rebook. Grae was a trooper. Here she is sleeping as we stood in a 3 hour line up for train tickets… Unfortunately, the wait turned out to be pointless. When we finally got to the front, we were told that all Paris trains were full for the next 3 days…

Gracen’s bags are by the door and she’s got her city guide and passport in her hands!
