Gracen absolutely cannot get enough of this song lately. We’re talking on repeat, every single awake moment of every day if she could. She first heard it 10 days ago, and she’s pretty much got the lyrics nailed. {I don’t blame her though… I quite like it too.}

Ho Hey
Our girl is a true music lover. She just adores music. When given the choice, she’ll almost always choose to watch a music videos over a kids’ shows, she memorizes faster than I can, and it’s rare to find her not dancing, singing, or holding a microphone of some sort.
This afternoon, she watched these two videos back to back several times. She strategically placed her plastic golf club in a blanket to create a mic and mic stand and strummed along on her guitar while practicing the words. If I would have let her, she probably would have watched until dinnertime. And I don’t blame her… Watching these sisters sing almost always brings shiver bumps to my arms or tears to my eyes. How it’s possible to have that much talent at that young of an age, I don’t know. Blows me away every time.

Mama’s Song
Grae first heard this song on the radio while we were in Alberta for the holidays and you should have seen her little face light up when she heard the word “Mama” in it. She’s loved it ever since. I don’t mind one bit as I quite like it myself, but dang – sometimes I have to force myself not to pay attention too closely… Otherwise I’m a mess of tears in no time.

“Girls ‘Tainer Song”
Miss G is currently in love with this song she affectionately refers to as “Girls ‘Tainer (container) Song”. She loves it so much in fact, that nobody is allowed to sing along. If I absent mindedly find myself quietly humming along with the tune, I’m promptly reminded “No Mama sing. Just girls sing.” Well okay then…

Eva, Eva, Eva
This song has been on repeat in our house for days now… Miss G calls it “Eva, Eva, Eva” and happily bounces around for the duration of the song every time it’s played.

Mini Karminite
Miss G has been a Karmin fan for a long while now and I don’t blame her – they’re pretty awesome. Though her original favourite was Brokenhearted, these two songs have been on repeat so much during the last month that I’ve had to start putting limits on how often we can listen to them. Inevitably, after the ration is up, I hear “Mor Boom Boom Baby, pleasch, Mama?” or “Mor Money Money Money, pleasch, Mama?” in the sweetest little voice possible. Tough to resist, I tell ya.

A New Favourite
This song has been on repeat in our house for the last two weeks. G loooooooooooves it. You should see her little body start to move the second it comes on. The girl’s got moves, I tell ya.
