One of the fun little things I’ve tried to keep up is having Gracen pick a new fruit or vegetable to take home and investigate during our weekly shopping trips. Though she seriously contemplated a papaya, she ended up selecting this particular dragon fruit today. This is the conversation that ensued while browsing the other aisles…
Gracen: What’s dis one called again, Mama?
Mama: It’s a dragon fuit. We’ll cut it open when we get home and see what’s inside.
Gracen: NOT a DRAGON though, right Mama?!

Tonight Miss G and I picked up Brad from work. On the way home, Gracen started telling Papa that we are going to visit Santa tomorrow…
Brad: What kind of present are you going to ask Santa for?
Gracen: A candy cane! (the funny part is that she does not eat candy canes yet… she simply holds them)
Brad: Do you want anything else for Christmas?
Gracen: Ya. Packing peanuts!
I guess we’ll have to see what Santa can do. ☺
