This phrase has been on repeat recently. It’s said when it’s time to get dressed, time to turn out the lights, time to go to the potty, and time to put on shoes. The thing is… She’s exactly like me when I was little. Independent. Determined. And more than willing to spend the four minutes it takes to wrangle her socks and zip-up boots onto her feet if it means she gets to do it on her own.
“Grae Grae do it… Grae Grae BIG GIRL!”
♥
Aww – that sounds so much sweeter than the one’s I’m getting. A hand to the face and “I can do it all by myself!!” with a little tude. Wonder where she got that one from ;)
Funny how they become just like us, isn’t it? And don’t worry – I’m pretty certain I’m in for it sooner or later. :)
So sweet! My son tends to be quite happy for someone else to do all the hard work for him, ha ha :)
Haha! Though the independence is nice in many ways, oh how I know I’ll miss the days of her needing me very soon (I already sort of do!) :)
