Bird Seed Cookies {for the birds, obviously}

Bird Seed Cookies | Mama Papa Bubba

It’s become somewhat of a yearly tradition for Miss G and I to make fun homemade bird feeders for our feathered friends each winter.  As much as I’m {admittedly} not a huge bird lover, I certainly don’t want them to go hungry while their usual food sources are scarce or unavailable.  Plus, our little lady adores them and that’s enough for me.

Over the course of her 3 years, Grae and I have made many different kinds of fun and easy bird feeders, but these crunchy bird seed cookies are a definite favourite.  What’s not to love?  They’re made of 3 ingredients, they usually disappear completely {our birdies tend to take the jute or twine for nest building purposes, I think}, and they’re cute as all get out.  Plus, you can change up the shapes based on the season and corresponding holidays – fun, right?  {Okay, and maybe a little geeky too…}

The ‘magic’ ingredient may surprise you {it sure as heck surprised me}, but just go with it.  I promise they’ll turn out.

  1. Tap the link and “oops can’t find the link you’re looking for” pops up. Really, you couldn’t just put the recipe here? Bait and switch. I will never trust anything from this site. If they can try to scam you with something simple and minute, just think of the real damage they could do.
