We’re making lunch and I nonchalantly mention the fact that her little cousin is going to turn four pretty soon…
‘For my cousin’s birthday, let’s just sneak back to Canada, sneak up on her doorstep, and then shout, “SURPRISE!!!” – just like when Grandma did that to us in Germany. {Remember that, Mama? When I said, ‘BEST. DAY. EVER.’??}
That would make Kins very happy. But mostly… Mostly it would make ME happy… Because I really love my Kinslee.’
