Such a pretty little thing.

With Bradley down at the coast again, us girls had a busy day of running around and getting things done. Apparently it pooped Grae out, because despite the music, my singing, and a rice cake, she conked out on the way home. Notice the headband around her neck, rice cake crumbles all down her front, and her open mouth. Out like a light!

Mmmm… Juicy orange slices on a warm day. :)

Tonight Grae proudly sported a purple moustache (and goatee for that matter) after her snack…

This afternoon, we headed out for a quick trip to the park. Grae seems to have made peace with the grass, hey?

Today started out with brunch at Countrytyme and a visit to Davison Orchards with Steph and Micah…

In honour of the long weekend, we had a little backyard BBQ today. The day was filled with sunshine, friends, family, yummy food, and birthday cake.

Today we celebrated Gracen’s first ever Canada Day up at Davison Orchards.

When you live overseas and tell people that you’re from Canada, they say two things. First, that it is a beautiful country, and second, that it is COLD. We always explain that it is not hot like Kuwait, but that it’s not that cold. Well, boy oh boy, were we wrong. This morning we woke up and Grandma Charlotte and Grandpa Dave’s house was absolutely freezing. The kind of freezing that leaves your fingers numb and your nose running. The kind of cold that leaves your little one sporting winter gear in the house on July 1st. What can you do? Canada is cold.

Since Bradley was down in Vancouver last night, Gracen and I went for a sleepover to Grandma Sue’s house! After Grae’s first night away from her Papa (other than the one night we spent in the hospital when she was born), we woke up early, had some breakfast, and headed out for a walk in the neighbourhood. We ended up at a nearby park, where Grae enjoyed an early morning swing in her jammies. :)

Bradley’s gone to Vancouver for tonight and tomorrow, so what are the girls to do? Shop! That’s what. :)

Luckily Bella is around, because meal times have gotten messier than ever around here.

This morning was beautiful. The sun was shining and it was warm without being hot. We were enjoying it so much that Grandpa Dave decided to run into town and pick up a little pool for Grae to splash in.

This morning we headed out to the Lumby farmer’s market with Grandma Charlotte. Although there was a good Watkins booth there (I love me some Watkins), let me tell you, if you blinked, you would have probably ended up missing the whole thing! On the plus side, there was a little playground nearby…
