Just down the road from Charlotte and Dave’s place is a little park that has been around since Bradley was a boy. Today got our hoodies on and took a little stroll down to The Corner Park.

Vernon Visit ~303 days old
So far, we’ve been staying out in Lumby at Brad’s parents’ place. Today we took a trip into Vernon and ran errands, visited the farmer’s market, and stopped by Grandma Sue’s new place for dinner. The farmer’s market was fantastic. Gracen got a bag of baby carrots (which she clearly was quite pleased with), and Mama got a fresh-squeezed lemonade! Yum.
Can’t Get Enough ~302 days old
We just can’t seem to get enough of the outdoors. After living in Kuwait for four years, having a backyard, green grass, and a mountain view is a privilege. So after Grae had a good nap, we headed out to Grandma Charlotte and Grandpa Dave’s backyard. :)
Catching Up with Friends ~302 days old
Today we got a chance to catch up with our old friends, Mike and Hayley, and their darling little lady, Sloan. They too have a dog named Bella, but due to the fact that she can fit in a coffee mug, Gracen wasn’t at all intimidated.
Afternoons Outdoors ~301 days old
Just a regular afternoon outdoors…
Home Sweet Home ~300 days old
Well, after a very long trek, we arrived in Canada safely with all but one of our bags. After a good night’s sleep, letting Gracen explore the outdoors was at the top of today’s to do list. :)
The Long Journey Home ~299 days old
Our long trek home to Canada began at 12:40 a.m. on Sunday morning. Grae was a trooper as always as we scooped her up from her crib on Saturday night, buckled her into her car seat, and headed to the crowded Kuwait airport.
Last Day in Kuwait ~298 days old
‘What’s that, Mama? This is our very last day in Kuwait?’
Silly Little Monkey ~297 days old
As we begun our packing mission today, Grae enjoyed rooting through things and tossing things out of their bags… She obviously thought it was quite comical!
Sifting Through Memories ~296 days old
Moving home to Canada means getting rid of all unnecessary items, and unfortunately, our printed photos didn’t make the cut. At least Gracen got to sift through them before they got tossed!
Rested ~296 days old
Gracen is not a cuddly baby, and never has been really. She’d much prefer being on the move rather than sitting still. The only times she’s at all cuddly is right after a nap or when there are strangers around… Therefore, we have to take advantage when we can!
Diwaniya Baby ~296 days old
Just hanging out on the diwaniya in Papa’s classroom… All she’s missing is the shisha pipe, but we’ll save that for the next time we live in Kuwait. :)
Mission Accomplished ~296 days old
Gracen begun playing strange at four months old and really isn’t that into being held by people other than her mama and papa. That being said, two of my friends, Amanda and Erin, have put in a solid effort over the course of the year, and it seems to have finally paid off. :)
Stats Update ~295 days old
This afternoon we took Gracen to see Dr. Roland, our pediatrician, one last time before leaving the desert. With an ancient grain bread flute in hand, Grae happily let Dr. Roland and his nurse inspect her. At 9 and a 1/2 months, she weighs 20 pounds (50th percentile), is 75 centimetres tall (95th percentile), and has a head circumference of 46 centimetres (95th percentile). She’s still sitting at 8 teeth and has enough curiosity and motivation for 2 babies. :) She’s crawling like mad and is pulling up on everything. She’s learned how to get down from a standing position and her newest trick involves standing and dancing while only supporting herself with one arm. Our little girl is certainly growing!
Kitchen Help ~295 days old
Have I mentioned that I have a wonderful little kitchen helper lately? I sure do. I quickly put together breakfast and this little lady takes everything off of the shelves and chucks it into the middle of the floor, providing me with a decently tricky obstacle course. :)
