Now that we’re back in Canada and plan to be here for a while, one thing I really want to help Miss G learn is our cell phone numbers. We still haven’t decided whether or not she’ll go to traditional kindergarten next year, but even if she doesn’t, I think it’s a valuable thing to know.
Of course, with two numbers each 10 numerals long, there’s quite a lot to memorize… So why not create something to help the process along? That’s when we came up with these super simple kid-made phone number bracelets!

First up, we popped by a local bead shop and picked up some number beads, some alphabet beads, and some coloured beads too. {If you don’t have a specialty bead shop in your area, these should be available at most craft stores and they’re available on Amazon too.}
In addition to our beads, we gathered up some clear elastic cord and a pair of scissors and we were ready to get started.
After having me tie a knot in one end of the elastic cord, Miss G was off.
She added a couple of coloured beads before spelling out our names…
And then added another coloured bead and started on our phone numbers.
After finishing both, it was time for a little stretch break. ☺
I tied the ends together and that was that – she had two pretty little bracelets that will help her learn our new phone numbers here in Canada.
Alright, ready for some other fun ‘back to school’ {ugh – did I really just say that?!} ideas? Check out these fun activities from our friends around the web…
