‘What’s up there, Mama?’

It’s really wonderful to live in a community that has several other stay at home mamas. Today we gathered at Monica’s house for some delicious coffee (with Bailey’s whipped cream!) and some warm apple peach cobbler. The mamas ate, drank, and chatted and the wee ones played to their hearts content. Here, Gracen’s joined by her adorable little friends, Jessica (1 month), Claire (3 years), Grant (8 months), and Turner (almost 7 months). This baby posse is too cute for words! :)

No, we don’t particularly like Mike and Ike candies… Then why did we buy them you ask? Wait for it… For the simple reason that they remind us of our little doodlebug’s toes. Hahaha. Ah, our poor, poor little girl… How did she get stuck with such weird parents? One day when she’s older, she’ll read this post and think just that. And I won’t blame her.

‘Hey Mama, where’s Canada again?’

After being chased away by rain and lightening yesterday, we woke up to find that it was a perfect day for the beach! Blue skies, sunny, and 31 degrees. I have a feeling that there will be many beach days in our future… Gracen and I just got a Hilton membership for our last couple of months in Kuwait. We’ve got to take advantage of the weather before it becomes too hot.

We got all packed up, headed to the Hilton for a little afternoon beach time, and what happened? It started pouring rain as we arrived. It was still warm, so we sat poolside for a little while, but quickly headed in once the thunder and lightening began. Apparently Gracen felt a little defeated… We’ll try again tomorrow!

Our little lovebird is 8 months old today… We haven’t been to her 8 month pediatrician’s appointment yet, but here’s the rundown on what she’s been up to lately:

This morning was overcast and a little bit cooler than usual (but still 27 degrees)… We arrived early and had the entire pool to ourselves!

We decided to celebrate Easter Saturday this year because we’re hoping that the weather will cooperate and we’ll be able to have a peaceful Easter Sunday at the beach tomorrow. Fingers crossed for no dust.

Today we celebrated Gracen’s first ever Earth Day. Unfortunately, it was another dusty day here in the desert, so we weren’t able to spend the day outdoors like we would have liked to, but we made the best of our indoor day.

This is how Gracen feels about another gloomy, dusty day in Kuwait. Just wait until she’s in Canada and all that beige is replaced with beautiful shades of green and blue! :)
