Our poor little munchkin has a bit of a rash around her mouth right now. It started when we fed her spinach again recently… She ended up breaking out in little red spots where left over spinach bits had been sitting around her mouth… Now it seems to be dry and chapped. Surely the teething / drooling / sucking on ice all day isn’t helping it, but what can you do? We’ve eased up on washing her face and we’re applying pure lanolin a few times a day, so hopefully it’ll clear up quickly. Poor little rash face. :(

Numbers one and two came in together, number three popped up out of nowhere, and now teeth numbers four and five are on their way!

Keeps the doctor away.

A little while back, Gracen mastered the art of zooming around in her walker. The trouble is, our apartment has lots of obstacles that disrupt good zooming. So tonight, we decided to head down to our lobby and let Grae zoom to her heart’s content. She cruised around in circles for a while…

Today Gracen and I decided to treat ourselves to a morning at the Hilton Beach Resort. The weather was gorgeous and it was pretty quiet. Gracen had never been to a beach or pool before, so when we arrived, she needed a few minutes just to take it all in…

Being the wonderful, grown up young lady that she is (I’m so old), Cassidy bought this adorable Eric Carle Hungry Caterpillar (and a beautiful bib!) for Gracen and got it all the way to Kuwait.

Although she’ll happily eat almost anything, one thing she really loves is having a big chunk of fruit that she can gnaw on and feed to herself… Today was her lucky day, because as she was eating her spiced sweet potatoes and tofu, Mama and Papa had a big bowl filled with watermelon and mango. :)

Every Friday morning, Gracen and I head out for a little mommy and baby adventure at the Avenues… We normally don’t buy a lot other than our essential Dean & Deluca grocery items and an equally essential grande skim latte for Mama, but this week Grae got a little treat… Classic Baby Beads, by Manhattan Toys. :)

Haha! We were headed out for a little walk this afternoon when we realized that Grae was wearing her American Apparel cardigan in tri-evergreen, and Papa was wearing his American Apparel t-shit in tri-evergreen too.

We arrived at Terminal 2 of the Dubai airport around 11 a.m. for our 1 p.m. flight… Little did we know, Kuwait was amidst a huge sandstorm and the airport had been shut down… What do you do? We ate…

After a quick few days in Dubai, we packed up and got ready to head home to sandy Kuwait. Gracen had her passport ready (thanks to Auntie Rozi and Uncle Gary for the very cute cover!) and we were off to the airport.

Tonight we headed to the Mall of Emirates to meet our friends Patrick and Jennifer, and their son Aidan, for dinner. Although she doesn’t look that into it in this photo, Gracen had an awesome view. The restaurant had several big windows that looked directly into Ski Dubai, and we were lucky enough to be seated right in front of one.

Today we decided to take a break from the malls and being indoors. We jumped into a cab and headed to a nearby park to enjoy some sun and nature. :)

This afternoon we decided to visit the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, and we were so happy we did. Grae truly loved meandering through and seeing all of the creatures.

After a cozy night of 3 in a king size bed (the crib the hotel provided us with is a disaster waiting to happen), Gracen is dressed, fed, and ready for her first full day of adventure in Dubai!
