One of the fun little things I’ve tried to keep up is having Gracen pick a new fruit or vegetable to take home and investigate during our weekly shopping trips. Though she seriously contemplated a papaya, she ended up selecting this particular dragon fruit today. This is the conversation that ensued while browsing the other aisles…
Gracen: What’s dis one called again, Mama?
Mama: It’s a dragon fuit. We’ll cut it open when we get home and see what’s inside.
Gracen: NOT a DRAGON though, right Mama?!

For some reason, Gracen’s taken to calling her Uncle Brett ‘Huncle Pet’ recently and it’s quickly become one of those weird things you catch yourself saying as though it’s become the norm all of a sudden. I have no idea how or why it came about, but they do make a pretty adorable pair, don’t they?
This morning I was beckoned by the usual “Mama, Mama – bum wiiiipe!” call from the bathroom, and arrived to find this. My little lady, perched up on the toilet, sporting self-drawn Papa eyebrows just as I had drawn on her yesterday during our 

Oh my word – this just kills me.

This morning Grae and I woke up and decided on pancakes for breakfast. We were just about to gather our ingredients as the phone rang. As I snuck in a very quick conversation with my sister-in-law, Miss G got started without me apparently… Anyone up for cornmeal-cocoa-double-salt-tomato pancakes?
A nearly naked toddler covered in pirate stickers. The best part is that she was absolutely tickled pink with herself about it all and exclaimed “Grae Grae stickery!” again and again.

Oh, and she sprouted the perfect French moustache and got her first tattoo.
