Our apartment door has a little hook attached to the middle of it, so naturally, it needs a wreath. In the fall we usually have our poppy wreath out there, then in winter we switch it up for the Christmas wreath Miss G made long ago, and then in spring, we usually have a little egg carton flower wreath Miss G made back when I was teaching classes at Bright Minds. This spring, however, it was time for a change. We needed something a little more bright and colourful {and we needed to use up all of the pretty Wilton cupcake liners we brought over from Canada}.

Cupcake Liner Poppies
With Halloween behind us, Miss G and I removed the spider wreath from our door this morning and replaced it with the beautiful poppy-covered one she made last year in honour of Remembrance Day. We also set out a very simple bouquet of cupcake liner poppies that were inspired by the ones on our wreath.
Cupcake Liner Flower Crown
I absolutely love all of the gorgeous flower crowns I’ve seen floating around the internet lately, but thought it would be fun to come up with a kid-friendly version that Miss G could pretty much create on her own. That’s when I remembered the pretty poppy wreath we made last year for Remembrance Day. The flowers we created out of cupcake liners turned out beautifully and Grae loved putting them together, so a cupcake liner flower crown it was.
Remembrance Day Poppy Wreath
After taking down our Halloween footprint bunting during our major clean-up today, Gracen and I decided we needed something new on our apartment door – something to help celebrate Remembrance Day. After searching around the web for a few minutes, we found this beautiful poppy wreath craft kit and decided we could make our own version. We didn’t have red tissue paper on hand and it feels like we’ve worked with coffee filters a lot lately, so cupcake liners it was!
