This song has been on repeat in our house for the last two weeks. G loooooooooooves it. You should see her little body start to move the second it comes on. The girl’s got moves, I tell ya.

Smarty Pants
While doing a little bit of organizing tonight, I came across these picture cards Grandma Charlotte gave to Gracen months ago. At the time, Grae was more into chewing on them than looking at them, but that’s not the case any more. She immediately opened the box, placed several on the floor, and said “Mama?” in the way she does when she wants me to ask her about something. This is the first time she laid eyes on them since she was 10 months old. Smart little doodle. I have a feeling we’ll be doing a lot of this in the next few days…
Animal Sounds by Grae
Just sitting in the bathroom making animal sounds… Business as usual in the Kossowara household.
Passionate About ‘Papa’s Song’
Our milk-covered, messy-haired music lover jamming out to The Black Keys‘ Howlin’ for You (a.k.a., ‘Papa’s song’). I could watch this on repeat until the end of time and never tire of it…
Goat Petting
My little animal lover in action…
A Comical Breakfast
Everything about this video makes me giggle… From the fist pump dancing, to the painful spoon-to-mouth journey, and the not being able to continue on until that single cottage cheese curd is retrieved from her lap. Morning comedy at its finest, I tell ya…
Matching
A little bit of pre-bedtime colouring matching…
iPhoneography // Sushi
We very rarely eat out, so when we do, it’s exciting! Especially because it’s normally sushi, which Miss G absolutely loves.
Tonight, as usual, she ate her weight in miso soup, veggie rolls, edamame beans, and tofu.
She also tried this… (Try your best to ignore my machine gun laugh. Ugh.)
Apparently she’s not a fan. I don’t blame her. Yuck.
Morning Puzzles
Goodness gracious, I love this little lady.
Animal Admirer
Gracen loves being read to, but more than anything these days, she wants to be asked to point out certain things while flipping through books. Mix that with the fact that she’s completely and totally obsessed with animals, and there’s really no reading books about animals. This is what happens instead.
And she could go on and on and on…
Must. Smell. Flowers.
No wonder our walks take so long…
The Man With the Ow-ah
It’s so much easier to be away for the day when I get videos like these from my two loves..
All Business
A Day of Firsts
Today was a day of firsts for our little family… It was the first time Gracen and I were apart for a day, it was my first day back in the classroom in over a year and a half, and it was the first day Bradley was at home to man the house and take care of the doodlebug all on his own. If I am being honest, I wasn’t concerned that Gracen and Brad would do just fine… I was most worried that I’d be the one that was a mess! Overall, my first day away went quickly (there’s really no other way when you’re surrounded by 21 energetic Kindergarteners) and I was home smushing on my little lovebug in no time. And although I’d rather spend my days with Grae than with a classroom of students, it was sort of refreshing to be back in my teacher role after an extended break. Definitely doable once a week. As long as I continue to receive videos like these that is.
