Miss G and I have been having such fun putting together fun little discovery baskets for our sweet Sam to discover and explore. He loves them because it means that he gets to put his curious little hands all over all kinds of things he may not often have the opportunity to explore, and I love them because they’re fun and super easy to pull together. Plus I get to watch him very carefully inspect each object independently, which in my mama opinion, is the cutest thing ever.
Here’s a little peek at him discovering a fresh fruit discovery basket that Miss G and I put together for him the other day…
Hah! Sam, meet lime. {That face – it just kills me!}

We’d love to have you!
Hi! Could you tell me what is the brand of mini keyboard you have? My baby would love that!
Ugh, I’d love to, Chantelle, but it was a gift and it doesn’t have a brand marked on it… It came with a little book of songs, if that helps. I believe it came from one of those book sales that come to school staff rooms.

This is such a great idea! My daughter would love the kitchen treasures, the shape focus, and the paper crinkle! How do you get kids to stay in one place while exploring? (I think my girl would want to carry things all over our home).
I actually don’t mind if Sam carries his treasures off with him throughout the day, but when I first set out a new discovery basket, I usually try to do it in a space with minimal distractions. Often times that means removing a few nearby toy bins, etc. just so he can fully dive in and enjoy his new objects. :)
The fruit sensory is a great idea. Thank you ?
great idea my little one loves fruit. Never though of making it more fun for him
Love the fruit! What a great, easy way to let babies explore different fruit. I’d have the camera ready for those hilarious reactions!
